LUXE Night at Made With Love

Venue: Made with Love, Plaza Singapura, Singapore
Date: 27th June 2008
Event: Scrapbooking Night Out with Jennifer Lynn Moody of Luxe Designs

After waiting for a month, I finally got to meet Jennifer Lynn Moody of LUXE Designs. I was so looking forward to attending her classes, unfortunately, like all the other “specialty” classes at MWL, I was too late (just a some hours late when official registration began!!!) to sign up for her classes as all the classes were booked to the brim. Even the waiting list looked hopelessly, hopeless.

Anyway, I am glad that Made with Love aka MWL had a special party, which anyone could attend, whether scrappers got to attend the class or not. Jennifer was a very nice and chatty person. She was cheerful and generous to impart or share whatever she knew to fellow scrappers and despite the small crowd at the “Make and Take” booth, she was patient to whoever turn up for the session. I am sure that the fortunate scrappers who got to attend her classes today and tomorrow, will benefit so much from Jennifer. Hmmm, I shall look at other scrappers’ blog to find out more about their experiences with Jennifer.

All is not lost for me. I managed to have a photo taken with Jennifer (Thanks Elvira!) and even got her to autograph the “Make and Take” card! At the LUXE draw, I won myself a RAK from MWL!!! And so, another photo was taken.

After thanking Jennifer and Elvira, I really had to head for home as I had a very bad migraine. This must be due to the walking in the strong sun to the store room and working in the ultra cold lab earlier on.

Hope to join Jennifer Lynn Moody for at least one class session when she next come.

Cough...cough...cough...cough...to work

Cough...cough...

I am still coughing... ...

Cough...cough...

My colleagues are sick of my cough. Sigh, if I know work is not that tedious today, I would have happily and gladly accepted the MC. Well, at least most of the paperwork has been completed for the coming audit. Yawn... ...

Cough...cough...

Mr AN was very naughty today. There were no seats in the pantry when Agnes joined us for lunch. So, he pointed his laps and said to Agnes, "You can sit here." My goodness! Mr Nice Guy! What ever happened to you??? And of course, Mr AN and I could not stop giggling about Bzzz Bzzz... ...

Cough...cough...

Talking about Agnes... ...

Well, it seems that most of us are especially protective over Agnes. I do not know about the rest, but, I feel that quite a number of us are showering loads of love and care over her!!! Wow! She must be the most pampered technologist!!! But Agnes works hard and is neat. No doubt about it. She deserves all the love we are showering. A-GE-NES!!!! You are so xing fu lor!

Even J is lookin around for suitable candidates for A-GE-NES. Hahaha... ... So funny!!!

Cough...cough...

O,I better sleep soon.

Good Morning!

Cough... Cough... Cough all the way to staff clinic

Cough...cough...

Yes, I am still coughing as I typed this entry. What to do? But, I have gone to see the doctor and have got loads of tablets to swallow. Sigh. The doctor asked me if I wanted MC. My devilish conscience wanted the MC so that I can sleep loads in the morning and go out with my friends tomorrow evening. But, the angelic conscience told me to forgo the MC if possible as the lab may need me. In the end, good triumph over evil and I will be off to work tomorrow.

Cough...cough...

Just read Agnes's blog. Hey Agnes, I do not just blabber about MayDay and SodaGreen all day you know. At times, I like to find out the more personal aspect of life too, if you permit.

Cough...cough...

We had a meeting today, and oh my goodness, the minutes! Grammatical mistakes, again! I was busy amending the attendance and the grammer of the last meeting's minutes! Whoever did the minutes, apparently did not check the meeting attendance list and her work! There were quite a number of grammatical errors! Sigh... ... I think is time H does the minutes again.

Cough...cough...

I was very angry with FS King today!!!!!!!!!!!! He was soooooooo rude!!!!!!! Rude (to the power of infinity!!!!) I do not understand why LALA could claim that FS King was clever and good! But then again, LALA is quite blind to the events around him. Sigh... ... Anyway, FS King got our new staff SW into trouble!!!!!!! This is something that I cannot understand. FS King is so full of crap!!! He was just showing off and could not even teach something which he has been doing for so many years to a junior staff!!!!!!!!!! Sigh... ... I may have been strict with the freshies, but at least, they get the fullest download from me, unlike FS King, who could only brag about his nonesense!

Cough..cough...

Asked XH the following question yesterday while talking to Agnes and her.

Agnes: Why don't you ask XH about that question which you asked us last time?

Me: Which question?

Agnes: The one about you liking Mr A but Mr A doesn't know ... ...

Me: Oh, that one.

Me: Xiu, I asked hah. If you like Mr A and Mr A doesn't know. Or maybe he know, but, he is not showing it. Then, came along Mr B, who is just as nice and lovely but you and Mr B are just "buddy buddy". Will you tell Mr A that Mr B is interested in you and wanted to woo you?

XH: Ya, will tell Mr A. At least see what is Mr A's reaction.

Sigh... ... When I asked this question to the people in the lab, only one person answered that she would accept Mr B's love and move on with Mr B for she felt that to be loved is the best. But the rest of the gang "voted" to tell Mr A about the truth. At least, to find out if Mr A has ever, been interested.

So complicated... ... Sometimes, matters of the heart is much more complicated than academic examination... ...

Cough...cough...

Going to slumberland now.

Good Night!

Still coughing

I am still coughing away.

I had mild Monday blues. Was chatting happily with Agnes and XH while working. Agnes was relating her sad first puppy love. Well, it was tragic! When Agnes told me what her that stupid boy did to her, I swore I would have beat up that guy or make it my personal mission to make his life miserable, legally, that is, for a day, at least.

I told Agnes that after those eventful experiences, she would have grown stronger and that those experiences will enable her to find someone more suitable.

It was quite interesting listening to Agnes relating her relationship stories. I guess it allow me to learn from their experiences. Strange, isn't it? While I am older than the both of them, I have always been happily unattached. Hahahaha ... ...

Alright, I think I would need to go to the staff clinic tomorrow if I am still coughing away.

Cough ... Cough ...

SodaGreen

Cough, cough ... ... Yes, I am still coughing away. Sigh... ...

I am listening to SodaGreen's second album - Little Universe, track 2, Little Universe.

After the "NO CAMERA", "security guys catching fans with camera and photographing away" mini concert cum autograph session, I want to see and hear them more now. Well, despite SodaGreen not allowing the fans to photograph and video and not autographing my book, I am more attracted to their music. I will buy their latest album as well as their concert album tomorrow or sometime this week.

Looks like 2007 and now, 2008, is proving to be a year of concerts and music for me.

First, there is the MayDay overload and now, SodaGreen overload.

I first came to know about SodaGreen from Sam, who bought their album in Taipei, Taiwan, as it was not released in Singapore at that time despite their immerse popularity in Taiwan.

Sodagreen is very different from MayDay. However, I discovered that quite a number of Singaporean fans who like Sodagreen, are MayDay fans too. They have quite a number of similarities - both bands are bands, to begin with. They write meaningful lyrics, and are not afraid to defer from mainstream. The only difference is that Sodagreen's works are just as unique as MayDay's. I am sure the Sodagreen following in Singapore will grow much more in future.

Both bands are very passionate about music. While they are not comparable to Maroon 5, Linkin Park, it is difficult to ignore their presence. Hate them, love them, these bands are here to stay , with their very passionate and unique works.

Music does cleanse one soul after a workful day of nonesense.

Yawn, am finally tired. Am going to slumberland now.

Good morning!

NO CAMERA PLEASE

19th June 2008, Thursday, Bugis Junction

"Please keep your camera
No photography please
We are not super movie stars or idols
We are just a bunch of passionate music makers
We love music
We will like to communicate through music with you all, since you are like my friends
If you still insist on taking photos of us, you can leave the venue
We hope you are here because you like our music"

" No photography please
Photography makes me feel like a worker, not a music maker
Please keep your camera"

"Miss, no phorography please"

"No photography please. If I see you taking photos again, Babe, I will come and pull you"

"To thank all the fans for listening and respecting us by keeping your camera, I will sing you more songs."

Sodagreen's lead vocal, lyricist, composer

SodaGreen's lead vocal, did say all those, except, he said it in Mandarin. Well, he was right that we should be supporting their music, and not busy videoing or taking photos. Although the performance was a mini one, and the audience was not as large as I and XH had thought/imagined, but, I applauded SodaGreen for giving a 100% effort performance.

XH and I were very fortunate to be in the front row. Yes, if you are lucky, you may just get to catch a glimpse of both of us on TV. Both of us were very excited. We were more excited when the lead vocal walked down the stage to sing to the fans and XH and I shook hands with him!!! I do not know about XH but this is something I have always wanted to do!!! It just seemed so fun and meaningful, especially for a fan.

After they sang their numbers, we went up to the stage and got our concert tickets autographed by all six of them. Lead vocal's hand shake was a strong, firm, confident and sincere one. I did not managed to get my book autographed as the members were afraid that the book would be put up for sale online. Fortunately, I managed to get S's CD autographed. The CD cover is now nicely covered by their signatures.

Well, will update again later. Think I'm going to be down with the flu bug again.

Good Morning!
