One more day to September.
Hmmm, I am really looking forward to September. Well, is the F1 night race!!!!
Well, I haven't sleep for more than 18 hours. This was what I did today:
0630 - 0715: Went to work
0715 - 0930: Microtomy
0930 - 1220: Wating for FS then do FS
1220 - 1300: Wash the sinks in trimming room
1300 - 1315: Eat brunch
1315 - 1420: Went to MAH. The bus driver quarelled with someone who was cycling very near his bus.
1420 - 1600: MAH, do FS, pack stuff for Sam
1600 - 1630: Changing, toilet, paperwork
1630 - 1700: Shutter bus to Novena MRT station
1700 - 1830: Shop at Junior de Arts and bought lots of stuff
1830 - 1900: Took bus to Suntec
1900 - 2030: Comex 2008 and bought a scanner-photo printer-photocopier-printer for S$99.00
2030 - 2130: Home Sweet Home
Later this morning, I will be heading back to Comex to sign up for a new broadband plan and get the much needed portable hard-disk.
Before all that, I will be heading to my grandparents' place to run some errands.
Then, I will meet some friends.
Look like a busy day ahead.
Sigh, our favourite BH has resigned.
Hmmm, will update again.
So, should I go and catch MayDay in action this November?

Counting Down to September
Well, is only another 2 days to September.
September, the beginning of Autum. The season to start planning and maybe, fall in love. Alright, guess I watch too much drama series recently.
August, has been a very exciting month, with a lot of ups and downs. Actually, more downs than ups. The only "ups" were seeing Phelpy, Kitajima and Park and many good looking sportsmen during the Olympic. The other ups were seeing Singapore clinch a medal at the Olympics and hitting the books.
Downs - too many to count them. Most of them involved fellow human beings, whom, I cannot be bothered to comment. I just cannot understand why there are people who insist that people around them behave the manner deemed "correct"?!?!?! They are often the ones who have the most number issues and the worst temperament!!! Enough. They do not deserve to be featured on my blog.
Well, going to catch my Coffee Prince. Nothing beats hitting the books, reading up on various sujects, scrapbooking, listening to music, watching sports and going to gym.
As for my issues with fellow beings, come on, is part of life.

Honey, I Swear I am Not A Stranger
Hmmm, I was going to update on some of the nasty thoughts which I have with regards to some matters, but, happier matters are overriding it.
Well, the Beijing Olympics has drawn its curtains and the next host - London, England, will be where Olympics 2012 will be. Personally, I feel that the Opening of the Beijing Olympics is more spectacular than the closing. Come to think of it, there are many games whereby the opening is much grander than the closing. Is the same for the Commonwealth and the Asian Games. I still like the fireworks of the opening best.
On the fireworks ... ...
I went with Agnes and S to the fireworks on Friday, which I must say, was disappointing. The Korean one was better, so I heard. I am glad that Agnes had a good fireworks show last night. I was very happy with the food, errr, though a abit too much. I remembered we kept ordering and sharing the food. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic Friday evening. You can go to Agnes's blog and look at the amount of food we had. Yummy!!!
I was a bit upset with the French fireworks. Compared to the last firewors which I saw in 2006, the fireworks on Friday was pretty lacklustre. There were only balls and balls of fireworks and a stingy fountain of fireworks at one corner. I will try to upload some pictures later on, if I can.
Alright, back to Olympics. In conjunction with the Olympics, Giordano Beijing held a special showcase, featuring works by invited designers, who were to design t-shirts based on the theme "World Without Strangers". MayDay's lead vocalist - Ashin's friend and partner of Stay Real - No2Good was invited and I am happy to say that I now have that t-shirt, designed by Mr No2Good. Alright, I know, supporting Ashin does not mean that I must support his friend too, right? But Mr No2Good's works are quite cool. You must check out his other works from his blog. I have the blog link on my blog too.
Now that the Olympics has come to a close, I must say that I am most impressed with Micheal Phelps. Alright, I am a Phelpy fan (minus that time when he had that funny looking moustache), hence, the foucs on him. Actually, Kitajima and Park Taehwan from Japan and Korea respectively, are cute too. Strange, all my favourite sportamen seem to be all swimmers.
The javelin winners are cute too. The bronze medalist from Finland and the gold medalist from Norway are deliciously, cute!!! Of course, Liu Xiang's unexpected exit from the 110m hurdles, which caused so much anger and unhappiness from his fans, was one of the unhappy highlight from the Olympics too.
The other event which I liked was the BMX event, a new event introduced at this year's games. Very exciting!!!
This Olympics will also be of special meaning for Singapore. The long awaited medal was finally won by the Table Tennis Women team at the team event. The final, which saw a medal coming this time round, was so important that the Prime Minister's National Day Speech Rally was postponed!!! The Prime Minister's National Day Speech was POSTPONED!!!
Alright, that's about the stuff I have. I shall try to upload some pictures later.

Unlucky Lane 2
Liu Xiang, another medal hopeful and probably record breaker, did not start the 110m hurdle heats. On the screen, he looked like he got a hamstring pull but how it turn out to be Achilles tendon injury, that, I am not sure. Like many of his fans, I was shocked when he could not start the heats. I am not fan of his, but seeing him limp off like that in front of millions of viewers and spectators, it is definitely, what can I say, purely shocked!!!
Trummel (hope the spelling is correct) from USA, started at Lane 2 and then he had hamstring pull just after he passed the first hurdle. Next, came Liu Xiang starting at Lane 2, the unlucky lane 2. Liu Xiang was injured and then "DNS", meaning, DID NOT START.
Fans were hurt, disappointed, angry, sad. They left the stadium even though there were more heats and events to go.
While reading today's English and Chinese papers, I was appalled at some of the fans' response. The comments were harsh. I have read many fans' response following various EPL matches but none were that bad. I mean, the EPL fans' comments may contain some not-so-nice words, but Liu Xiang's fans comments via either through news or forum, were just, terrible. You have to read today's LianHe Zaobao.
Whatever it is, the next highlight will be on the fastest man on Earth - Bolt! After an unhappy but eventful Monday, it is back to seeing more records being broken!!! Look out for Bolt and his delightful winning style!!!

Cleaning Freak
Besides a week of breaking records, I am also trying to break my own records - cleaning my room. I have hordes of rubbish everywhere. I must stop buying so much junk!!! Now, I have a bag of recycled papers for Mummy Jane, which her daughters can use for their studies and a bag of notes for my friend and a small bag of stuff for Linda and many bags for the recycled bins!!! Yes, I must stop buying things!!!
Finally, two years after getting my Scapaholics gift from MWL, I altered the lunch tin yesterday. It is still in the making, at last, it is being altered. I have coated the tin with 3 colours, namely Asphalt (aka black), Chocolate (a tone of brown) and Bordeaux (a kind of red???). All paints from Making Memories. I will upload pictures of the tin when I am done. It took me one whole Saturday to paint it. Well, I need to coat it with layers and layers of paint, and I need to let it dry completely before applying another, hence, the long time. I could have use the hair dryer to let the paint dry faster, but, tin, being metal, may, you know, lose it's shape.
So, that's about the amount of scrapbooking I have done. Hmmm, I just realise that I have not done any 12" by "12 layout this year. Yes, nil. Does that mean I have not done any scrapbooking? Nope. In fact, up till now, I have already done 8 albums - 4 of them are 6"by 6", 1 of them is a 5" by 5", one of them 8" by 8", and 2 of them are less than 4 inch each. Sad to say, I did not photograph any of them. Was too excited to give them to their current owners that I forgot all about it. Haahaa... ...
Well, I will have put many of my hobbies on hold until end of this year. From now till end of the year, my studies and thesis are my priority. Alright, need to read up now.

It has been a record breaking week. Yes, is the Olympics Games. At this time of entry, Micheal Phelps has already clinched his 8th Gold medal for this Olympics Games and Singapore's Women Table Tennis Team is through to tonight's finals.
Micheal Phelps's 8th Gold medal and smashing 7 world records and 1 game records is quite an achievement. Yet, to some, he may not be the best Olympian, but, who is to define who and what a great Olympian should be? Therefore, whether he is the best Olympian of all time, it does not really matter. His feat will be one of the most memorable of all time.
And then, there is the Singapore Women Table Tennis team. Singapore is assured of a medal, but, be it be gold or silver, we will know come Singapore time, 7:30pm. Despite the fact that Singapore is coming back with a medal this Olympics, like Phelps's incredible feat, it is not smooth sailing without controversies. Nevertheless, it is, still a medal coming home. Controversies are often part of the Games and I shall not dwell into any of them. I just like the thrill of seeing the Games. Simple, as that.
Alright, that's about it for now. I shall now browse around for the picture of me with David Tao.

I Could Be Famous
Last night, my sister SUDDENLY mentioned that my face appeared with David Tao!!! Yes, that Taiwanese singer David Tao aka 陶吉吉!!! So, my mother asked why I was in the local magazine - i Weekly, with David Tao. Well, I attended the concert ticket autograph with Sam and while the official photographer was taking picuture of Tao and his fans, I think, I pop my head in and got caught on camera too. Hee Hee... ... Now, I must look for that picture and post it on the blog. Heehee... ...
So, after an emotional roller coaster ride with A-GE-NES, she decided to cut her thumb. I hope the cut is not too deep. It reminded me of a similar incident when I cut my thumb during frozen section too. I think the year was 2005, Valentine's Day. I will always remember this day because, it was Valentine's Day. I even remembered who I went out to have dinner with that day. No, you are wrong, I went with a bunch of girls.
Alright, that's some not-so-important update from me. Am happy with clean looking Phelpy. HeeHee... ...

萧敬腾《收藏》签唱会
Event: 萧敬腾《收藏》签唱会
Date: 10th August 2008, Sunday
Venue: Fountain of Wealth, Suntec City, Singapore
Well, I was going to lament on some unhappy, and probably profound thoughts after Agnes’s sad entry, but, today’s event has completely blown me away. 萧敬腾 aka Jam, was at Suntec City to autograph his debut album. As an autograph collector, I was at the event too. I was not alone. I went with S and XH and got ourselves drenched!!! Is true, we were partially drenched!!!
Around 12 noon, there was a torrential rain. The rain subsided for a while and poured heavily again and this went on till the end of the autograph session. Jam sang two songs from his album and began signing hundreds and hundreds of albums as well as shaking hands with all the fans who went on stage!!! Yes, I shook hand with him too. He would look right into you and smile shyly before each and every fan leave the stage. So, I think he has one second to remember all the fans’s faces? Alright, I am daydreaming there. He had a very firm and warm hand shake!!! Pretty sincere!!! If only I never need to wash my hand.
I could not count how many people turn up for the event but I supposed there were easily at least 500 fans!!! It took Jam approximately one and a half hours to autograph for all the fans who queue up. I was very afraid that Jam will not sign all the albums as he had a mini showcase at DragonFly, St James Power House at 5pm later on. By the time he left, it was already 330pm or thereabouts.
S, XH and I had fun. It was the first time I attended a rainy autograph session. As Chinese believe water/rain symbolizes luck, S supposed that Jam will have a very good singing career. Jam is really good. Despite his young age, he has very powerful and husky vocals. In case you think I am making all these up, here are some evidences of the autograph session:

Dilemma
I was going to give my own critical review of the SodaGreen concert but after reading Agnes's entry, I did not feel like doing the review anymore.
Before I could read the line about the part which she cried very hard, I felt very sad. I do not blame Agnes's for her behaviour. I mean, there are so many times whereby the emotion just over-ride the rationality!!!
Ong has always sympathized FS King despite all the arguments and the nonsense he got himself into. Even when FS King spite Ong, she will forgive him totally. She will always remember the hard time and the terrible time that he is going through and forgive him time and time again and even helped him, if she can.
FS King is like a rebellious son she never need to have. The care and concern that Ong showered for him was so much that he was nicknamed Ong's god son. No joke! However, Ong, being the innately emotional softie that she is, sometimes overlooked the fact that FS King can be too much to handle. I know for a fact that there are some seniors who are quite keen to groom him, but, he does not have the right attitude for it. While he may know alot of things, there will always be arguments that one can learn all the theories from books. Attitude plays one of the most important factor in any workplace. Attitude rules!!!
Ong gave us all a hard stare because she was very upset that she was not informed of the good news from FS King and that we found the good news amusing. I admit that we were quite nasty about FS King's good news, but, like Ong, the emotional aspect took the better of us. I know Ong wanted us to shower similar blessings to him as we have done to others, but, FS King has tortured us so much emotionally that it will be difficult for us to be happy about his good news. It is simply, too difficult.
As for Agnes sadness, I can understand that totally. I remember there was a time when B told me to not to be so hostile to Ong and FS King. In case many of you thought I have been on good terms with Ong since long long time ago, truth is, I got to know her better after she was rotated to MAH and when Sam joined us. Recently, I confessed to Ong that I have the guts to be on friendlier terms with her after MAH rotation.
As for FS King picking on Agnes, well, this usually happens when the freshie is good. Personally, I strongly believed that FS King is insecure and feared that the freshie will much better. I bet FS King must have said alot of nasty things behind my back without my knowing when I was a freshie.
Well, Agnes, hope you are less upset now. Ong is very emotional. She really cares alot for FS King. She sees the sad aspect of FS King's life. Is true. She always feels that FS King is getting the worst of any deal, but then again, I strongly feel that he only has himself to blame. FS King is insecure while you are confident that you are doing well. FS King has no guts while you know when to stand up at the right time.
Remember, you are not the only one in the lab who have cried. I have, too... ...

Well, Agnes, hope you are less upset now. Ong is very emotional. She really cares alot for FS King. She sees the sad aspect of FS King's life. Is true. She always feels that FS King is getting the worst of any deal, but then again, I strongly feel that he only has himself to blame. FS King is insecure while you are confident that you are doing well. FS King has no guts while you know when to stand up at the right time.

LiDa vs 萧敬腾
I was talking to Agnes about Xiu. Well, I was amused that Xiu actually got touched by the fact that we gave her a thank you gift last Friday for all the help rendered during her stint with us. It was only a CD album. But, if you look at her state that day, it was as if we have given her a Cartier or Tiffany diamond ring!!!
Well, Xiu may appear to be blur to some, but, she is someone who actually catches up quite fast. No terrible attitude problem or work attitude problem. I will always remember the day when she told me her talent – studying!!! My goodness, who on earth will say such a thing about themselves!!!
Back to my conversation with Agnes.
Agnes told me that Xiu confessed that she liked “LiDa” on MSN. (Note: LiDa was the nickname I gave to the guy whom she liked. I know it is strange to give such a nickname, but Xiu, you have only yourself to blame. If you have not used “lidat” so often, I would not have been so confused!!!) Well, Xiu, you need not confess that you like LiDa. I could tell you like LiDa a lot too.
As we were happily “microtoming” away, Agnes told me that LiDa asked Xiu out very often, which is a good and happy thing. However, when Agnes asked Xiu what will happen if LiDa asks her out this coming Sunday when she has to attend
萧敬腾 autograph session, Xiu replied that she WILL ATTEND THE AUTOGRAPH SESSION!!!! XIU TOLD AGNES SHE WILL NOT GIVE UP ON 萧敬腾!!! Xiu, between LiDa and 萧敬腾, you should have pick LiDa!!! You told me to be realistic but look at you now, just as fickle-minded as me!!!
You can ask LiDa to come along. I don’t think any of us – the older girls will mind.

I know it has been a while since I last updated my blog, but the truth is, I have been extremely tired after my leave and the broadband kept hanging itself. I have an alright leave. If you think I am going to blog about my leave, well, you will be disappointed. I shall update other more interesting stuff.
Alright, hope I can get the "Open" album tomorrow.
